$ pnpm exec naavos compile --target claude-code

$ pnpm exec naavos compile --target cursor
✓ Compiled → cursor (.cursorrules)
$ pnpm exec naavos install --target hermes
✓ Backup created. Files installed.
A schema for identity, communication, rules, privacy and scope. Sensitive fields remain optional and private by default.
Local fixtures and hosted MCP checks are tested separately from behavioural fidelity and host acceptance.
Compile approved context for a named host, with unsupported fields and release limits made visible.
Developers can script the CLI; non-technical users use the guided desktop flow without editing configuration.
Preview, backup, reload verification and rollback are part of the product contract—not hidden side effects.
SQLite + FTS5 remains canonical. ReMe and future providers are explicit, rebuildable projections.
Three steps. No fluff.
pnpm exec naavos init Creates ~/.naavos/avatar.json
Edit avatar.json Identity, rules, adapters, privacy
naavos compile --target hermes naavos install --target hermes
Compile once for available adapters; host certification is verified separately.
NAAvOS is an MIT-licensed public development release. Independent users can download the local desktop MVP, follow the personal setup guide, and define an Avatar without creating a NAAvOS-hosted account. Hosted connections and named-host certification are verified separately.
Beta installers are unsigned. Use the setup guide if your operating system shows a security prompt.
